Today we celebrate Jeremy’s Birthday. His only request this year was to eat crepes. So we had family and some friends over for a night of sugary crepes… and lots of laughter. Jeremy makes me laugh every day. I love him!
Happy Birthday Sweet Heart
I’ve had a very full two weeks which has given me so much to be thankful for!
Trip to Utah- A quick 4 day trip, jammed packed with family and friends. There are many things I love about Utah: afternoon thunderstorms, sunflowers growing like weeds along the side of the road, family and friends. I love spending [...]
Clean Carpet- we renewed our lease here and so we got our carpets cleaned!
Plants in the ground- After work on Monday I was able to get all our starts planted in the garden. I felt the first rain drop as I left, and it rained for 3 days. I have yet to water it on [...]
A phone call- Finally after 3 months I got to have a very long phone call with Valerie. It was so good to talk to her and hear her voice and her advice! I couldn’t ask for a better friend. I wish we could live closer, but I’m glad to know that no matter how [...]
A Clean House- I only worked one day last week and so I decided that the other days would be dedicated to Spring Cleaning. I made a list for every room/area of the house and got going. By the 4th day I was a little burnt out, thanks to Jeremy helping the last day, we almost [...]

My good friend Jesse has a reoccurring blog post on Sundays titled “Blessings” where she reflects on the things she is grateful for at that moment. I really look forward to reading her post each week. I’ve thought for some time now that I’d like to borrow her tradition and start that here on our [...]
Saturday we basked in the glory of a crisp, sunny fall day here in the Pacific Northwest. As Jeremy flew his kite I sat at the picnic table working on my lesson for church. It’s so fun to sit and hear the passer-byer’s oooh and awe over Jeremy’s kite flying. I think he had an [...]
My first summer in Washington I was on a week long field trip with my cohort. The first morning we headed to the Skagit River Delta. On our way we passed by this little tiny bakery and decided to stop and pick up some treats. Some one in the van said that this bakery had [...]
