5 Things I Learned While Being Sick

This last weekend I spent laying on our couch letting my immune system wage a battle against some sort of virus. Now that the tide has turned and my immune system has the upper hand I can reflect on some of the things I learned during this battle…

5. Gargling with salt water produces an immediate gag reflex in me… but gargling with Top Ramen broth, doesn’t
4. There is absolutely nothing on TV between the hours of 3 am and 5 am, unless you like info-mercials
3. Facebook is even more dead during those same hours
2. Eating spaghettios with potato chips isn’t as good as I remember it being in high school
1. Jeremy is awesome! ( Not that I didn’t know that already, he just proved it once again)  He took a sick day to stay home and take care of me.  He made lunches and dinners, did all the grocery shopping and cleaned the kitchen and did some laundry.  He also insisted on getting me some sorbet which proved to be a throat saver at 3 am last night

Spaghettios and potato chips are awesome (but not in the same quantities as in high school), especially if you wash it down with a big glass of skim milk! At least it brought back good memories, I hope!

I’m glad your man is taking such good care of you!

I’m also so glad you posted this because I have been particularly ill this week. As I was perusing our food storage for something to feed the kids (pretty much haven’t been to the store in a while) I came across some Ramen. And because of your post I brought it up. I have the same problem with salt water but the Ramen broth is AWESOME! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I’m glad you’re feeling better and back to blogging. I have to admit that Spagehtti O’s are something that are seriously better as a kid. Smartie’s fall in that same category.

My thoughts while reading this post:
    1-Boo on being sick
2- spaghettios and potato chips… sounds gross but a totally high school thing to do
3- i wonder if there were any inticing infomercials you watched?
    4- yay for Jeremy!
